Cots 4 Tots - A Charity That Helps Families With Neonatal Intensive Care
Cots for Tots provides accommodation close to the hospital for families whose babies are at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The Great Appeal, the charity dedicated to Bristol Children's Hospital, runs the program. Abbey Silvester ran the AJ Bell Great Bristol Run in support.

If your child is at the age of readiness to go to bed, it's best to transfer them to the bed. This can prevent resentment towards their new sibling. It also helps them sleep better.

The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is a non-profit foundation which supports the Marine Corps' annual toy drive. It provides administrative, financial logistical, and promotional support for local Toys for Tots coordinators, in addition to a variety of services that the Marine Corps is unable to provide. It also provides educational and informational materials to the general public and arranges for national corporations to include information about Toys for Tots into their paid advertisements, and conducts an annual program of public education and publicity.

The Cots 4 Tots story began in 2010 with a fund-raising appeal to Bristol's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) located at St Michael's Hospital. Since its beginning, the charity has raised tens and thousands of pounds to support families who have sick or premature babies in the West of England and South Wales. Its work includes providing accommodation for families in houses as well as providing the latest equipment for the NICU.
Cots for Tots House serves as a "home away from home" for families who are being treated in a hospital. It is located next to the NICU and allows parents to stay close to their infant. Since 2012 the charity has helped more than 2100 families stay in the home.

Families who reside at Cots For Tots House are reassured they aren't alone. They have a community of other parents who are experiencing the same issues as they do and they can support each to help each other. Additionally they have access many facilities to make their stay as comfortable as is possible.
The charity also provides an therapist in music who visits the NICU to ease stress and pain levels for children and their parents. It has been proven to improve the quality of life of both patients and their families. Music therapy can also decrease the amount of medication required to treat these children, thereby saving money and time for the hospitals. The therapist utilizes specially-designed instruments that resonate, which are tuned to specific frequencies. They play soothing tunes to calm infants. Resonant instruments can also soothe fathers and mothers.

Abbey Silvester's two children, Alfie and Mollie, both spent time in the neonatal intensive care unit at St Michael's Hospital. She says that Cots for Tots "was an absolute blessing" and that she and her family wouldn't have been able to cope without it. "You meet new friends here, you form an atmosphere of community and bond with each other," said she. "Without it, who knows what our lives might be like?"

Choosing the right cot for your baby is a major decision. There are a range of sizes and styles and you must consider what you need long-term. A cot needs to be sturdy and have railings that are sturdy. It should be easy to clean and also have an easily removable bed. Some cots come with adjustable heights, which can be ideal for infant children.
Moving is a stressful time for any person, but it's more difficult for parents who have to deal with the additional challenges of a baby. However, by putting in certain preparations, and hiring a transport service early you can ensure your move is smooth.

A charity that helps families with seriously ill babies is celebrating its tenth birthday. It provides home-from-home accommodations close to the hospital so that parents are able to stay close to their children while receiving treatment at St Michael's Hospital in Bristol. The charity also raises funds for medical equipment that is specialised and offers family support. It is part of Wallace and Gromit's Grand Appeal, the official Bristol Children's Hospital Charity.

Families who utilize the Cots for Tots house say it is an amazing place to be. Natasha Attwood, who stayed there two times while her twins were in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, said the charity is "an absolute blessing". She added: "You form friendships here and form a sense community. You also learn to love each others." They take care of their parents so they can take care of their children."

The house, which was established after PS1m was born locally, allows parents to stay close to their sick children while being able to cook, clean and take some time to relax. It also gives them the chance to form friendships with other families in similar situations and help one another.

The charity has a special connection for Natasha Attwood, who stayed at home with her son Cobie and daughter Avalon. She calls it "a Godsend". Her daughter and son are both healthy now, but she visits them often and is thankful to the team that looked after them.
